What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (also known as HBOT) is a method of delivering higher amounts of oxygen to your body, and ultimately to your cells. Below is a list of HBOT benefits that can support the treatment of many conditions. Seeing that this is a supportive therapy, in most cases, it is best if combined with other therapies and protocols for healing.

HBOT is typically administered utilizing a monoplace chamber. The chamber has many windows allowing oversight from your practitioner or physician during treatment. The chamber is filled with air until the pressure is 2-3 times greater than normal atmospheric pressure. The air pressure within the chamber forces more oxygen in the body and cells. With more oxygen, the body is able to increase energy output in cells which can lead to healing.

Benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

It is common for those who are sick or healing to have lower than normal blood circulation. It is also common for those who are sick to undergo higher amounts of oxidative stress. Both of these factors make it difficult for your cells to get sufficient amounts of oxygen needed for healing. In essence, if you would like to speed up the healing process, you need to get more oxygen into your cells! In addition to all this, damaged tissues require more oxygen than normal tissue to heal. The odds are stacked against you unless you are utilizing HBOT or other methods of providing additional oxygen to your cells.

Who is HBOT For?

While most think of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as a remedy for carbon monoxide poisoning or to help wounds heal faster, there are many other conditions that can benefit from the treatment including:

  • Autism
  • Cancer
  • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
  • Decompression Sickness (Bends)
  • Lyme Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infection
  • Stroke
  • Thermal Burns
  • More

Why We Use HBOT Our Training Center

At Delta, we believe the root cause of disease begins with mitochondrial impairment. Stealth pathogens are interrupting electron flow in the mitochondria and thus radically reducing energy output. For more information on how stealth pathogens are making us sick, Click Here.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy helps give cells and mitochondria a much-needed boost in energy output. In conjunction with the BX Protocol, HBOT can help members heal faster, and finally get the upper-hand on stealth pathogens.

Is HBOT Safe?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is known to be very safe with little to no side effects. With that said there are minor risks imposed since patients will be entering into a pressurized chamber. Make sure your physician is aware of your condition and status before treatment. Disclose if you are sick, if there is a possibility you may be pregnant, your current medications, if you are diabetic, or if you have concerns.

While minor and rare, it is important to know the risks before deciding on the therapy. The following is a list of potential side effects:

  1. Temporary nearsightedness or vision changes
  2. Barotrauma to the nose and sinuses caused by the increase in air pressure
  3. Seizures caused by an excess of oxygen

Preparing for Treatment

Preparation for treatment is essential to ensure nothing goes wrong during treatment, and to make sure nothing flammable enters the chamber with you. You will be entering into a pressurized chamber so it is important to know how to adjust to the pressure changes. Yawning or swallowing can help your ears adjust to the pressure.

Because there is an increased risk of fire in the presence of concentrated oxygen, you may want to remove all hair and skin products prior to treatment. No electronics or potentially flammable items are allowed in the chamber. Fire is extremely rare because of the precautions listed above.
